Abstract
We present a maxentropic approach to the study of regularized Fredholm equations. Besides making the maxentropic approach work, the regulari zation has an important practical origin, namely, the data function is usually contaminated with noise, which naturally requires solutions t o lie in some neighborhood of a mean datum. Superresolution occurs whe n, for some data functions, there exists only one possible solution, a nd max-ent provides a neat way to pin it down.
