Abstract
The limestones of the San Salvador Patlanoaya Formation (Mexico) yield six successive biozones of fusulinoids characterized by the genera: Triticites and Kansanella of Missourian and Early Virgilian (Upper Carboniferous), Pse udofusulina and Rugosochusenella of the Wolfcampian (Lower Permian) and Par askinnerella and Shinnerella of the Middle Leonardian. Several species of e ach genus are described and illustrated: Triticites sp. 1, Triticites burge ssae, Triticites milleri, Triticites piloncillosensis, Triticites acutuloid es, Triticites oryziformis (= T. homecreekensis), Triticites moorensis, Tri ticites primarius, Triticites aff. confertoides, Triticites aff. lepidus Ka nsanella neglecta, Rugosochusenella emend. (= Pseudochusenella), Rugosochus enella gregaria, Skinnerella emend., Shinnerella imlayi (= S. robusta), Par ashinnerella skinneri (= P. leonardensis).
