Abstract
In this work, an analysis of the heat transfer to pneumatically conveyed oi l shale fines particles is developed. A radiative-convective model, includi ng radial dependence on the fluid temperature, is analytically solved by th e use of the Laplace transform and modified Duhamel theorem [10]. It is dem onstrated that the limiting case of infinity dilution of the particles resu lts in the classical Graetz solution [15]. Results are analyzed and compare d with experimental data and another existent lumped capacity solution [6]. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
