Abstract
An integrated approach that overcomes the shortcoming of using computer-aid ed analysis (CAA) to optimize an existing product has been developed. CAA a nd optometric measurement methods are amalgamated for the purpose. initiall y the product is assessed optometrically to identify areas of potential imp rovement. The product is then modeled and optimized using the CAA technique . Before the optimized product is put into production, a prototype is const ructed for validation purposes.
