Abstract
The results of measurements of the spatiotemporal variations of the anabati c UV radiation of background formations in the Earth-atmosphere system are discussed. The data were obtained during nadir observations on board the ar tificial Earth satellite Meteor-3 using the BUFS-1 on-board UV spectrometer . The mean values obtained as a result of a statistical treatment of the ra w data and the densities of the log-normal probability distributions of the spectral radiance of the background radiation of the cloudless atmosphere, low cirrus clouds, and high cirrus clouds are considered.
