Abstract
An algorithm based on the Monte Carlo method for calculating the three-dime nsional temperature field caused by laser radiation within a multilayer bio logical tissue is developed and implemented. The calculation is applied to determining and predicting the three-dimensional distribution of the temper ature increment in a two-layer sclera-tumor medium when 1.06-mu m laser rad iation is used for the transscleral hyperthermia of intraocular neoplasms, particularly of choroidal melanomas.
