Abstract
Methyl titanium chlorides (MenTiCl4-n, = 1- 4) are found for the first time to be high active catalysts for the ring opening metathesis polymerization of dicyclopentadiene. Among them, dimethyltitanium dicloride is the most a ctive, far more active than dimethyl titanocene.
