Abstract
An empirical equation has been obtained for the elastic stress concentratio n factor at an isolated oblique circular-cylindrical hole in a thick flat p late subjected to a uniform, arbitrarily oriented uniaxial tension. The equ ation is presented and its development is outlined in this note.
