Abstract
The aerosol component of extinction in the marine boundary layer over coast al areas can be determined by using the lidar method and through the applic ation of the Mie's theory to derive the aerosol concentration and size dist ribution. This can be done for the various meteorological conditions and at various altitudes above the sea surface.
