Abstract
A new nonuniformity correction scheme for an infrared (IR) camera is presen ted. The nonuniform response of the camera due to background IR radiation f rom the camera housing has been taken into account in the correction scheme , which can provide very uniform output characteristics for a wide range of camera temperature variation. The correction parameters have been obtained from two-step calibration processes. The calibration and correction algori thms are shown in detail.
