Abstract
Previously we have used a matrix method to do nonlinear calculations and pr esented exact expressions for the third and fifth order aberration coeffici ents for a general conic surface as functions of the latus rectum and eccen tricity. In this paper we show how the method can be extended to include th e case of a general spherocylindrical surface.
