Abstract
cis-Bis(alkenyl)iridium complexes cis,trans-[IrR(-CH=CH+PPh3)(2)(CO)(PPh3)( 2)](2+) (2, R = H (a), CH3 (b), Cl (c)) have been prepared from the reactio ns of dihaloiridium(III) compounds with HC=CR and PPh3. Reactions of 2b and 2c with CH2=CHCH2Br give bis(alkenyl)(PPh3)iridium, cis-[IrBr(CH3)(-CH=CHPPh3)(2)(CO)(PPh3)](+), and cis,cis[IrBr2(-CH=CH-+PPh3)(2)(CO)(PPh3)](+). C rystal structures of 2c and [Ir(OClO3)(CH3)(H2O)(CO)(PPh3)(2)](+) (4) have been determined by X-ray diffraction data analysis.
