The small-angle neutron scattering spectrometers (SANS) have received nowad
ays wide acceptance due to very rich possibilities, which they open for inv
estigations of the structural peculiarities of density and concentration fl
uctuations on a length scale of 10-1000 E. Due to the large scattering cros
s-sections at low angles SANS can be used on low-flux neutron sources. We p
resent a new SANS spectrometer which has been designed and manufactured in
IPPE and JINR for the 1 MW NUR research reactor at Unite de Recherche en Ge
nie Nucleaire (URGN), Draria, Algeria. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All r
