Order-disorder transformations in the mixed system Na(CN)(x)Br1-x have been
studied using the Reverse Monte Carlo technique to model the total structu
re factors (Bragg and diffuse scattering) measured by neutron powder diffra
ction. As the crystals are cooled they exhibit a phase transition from cubi
c to orthorhombic, the temperature of which decreases with x until a cut of
f at x approximate to 0.7. Results for x = 0.75 are presented here. (C) 200
