Abstract
Vycor 7930 porous glass was studied by adsorption in conjunction with small -angle scattering and by relative permeability, By loading Vycor porous gla ss with two different adsorbates, (H2O, CH2 Br-2), it was found from scatte ring experiments that the defractalization process in faster for H2O than f or CH2 Br-2. In addition, when measuring dynamic properties (such as relati ve permeability of He) the systems are found markedly different. It was con cluded that the surface fractality influences both equilibrium (adsorption) and dynamic (permeability) processes. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All r ights reserved.
