Abstract
Neutron diffraction analysis revealed 5% occupancy of octahedral (B) spinel lattice sites by cadmium in a Cd-112-enriched CdFe2O4 sample prepared by t he ceramic technique and quenched from 1273 K in water. The very small magn etic contribution to intense Bragg peaks at 1.3 K hampered the magnetic str ucture determination. ME investigation confirmed the partial disorder of th e Fe3+ magnetic moments on B sites. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All righ ts reserved.
