RAuGe compounds crystallize in hexagonal LiGeGa-type structure at room temp
erature. Magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal that the investigated
compounds order antiferromagnetically at low temperatures except PrAuGe whi
ch is a paramagnet down to 4.2 K. In case of other compounds, neutron diffr
action data showed variety of magnetic structures from commensurate ones (p
ropagation vector k = [1/2, 0, 0]) to incommensurate ones (propagation vect
or k = [k(x),0,0], where 0.3 < k(x) < 0.5) - see main text for details. (C)
