Polarized paramagnetic neutron scattering experiments show that persisting
ferromagnetic correlations in the FCC stability range of anti-Invar Fe1-xNi
x alloys with x less than or equal to 0.30 can strengthen with increasing t
emperature. More clear evidence for this unusual property, and, therefore,
for the temperature driven low-spin to high-spin transitions of anti-Invar
is provided by paramagnetic scattering experiments on an FCC-stable Fe0.77N
i0.13Mn0.07C0.03 alloy. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
