Abstract
The interplay between inter- and intra-chain charge transport in the conjug ated polymers poly(p-phenylene vinylene) (PPV), and polythiophene (PTh) has been investigated. By studying the conductivity sigma as a function of fre quency, temperature and doping level, we clearly observe a doping induced c ross-over from 1D to 3D in PTh. The data in PPV show 3D behavior at all con centrations. These differences are explained and values for the hopping par ameters are derived.
