Abstract
A genetic relation was revealed of adamantanes from extracts and semicoking tars of lignites with the relic terpenoid and steroid compouns, and probab le pathways were suggested for transformation of the initial natural struct ures into adamantanes. The qualitative and quantitative compositions of ada mantanes from crude oil and coal were compared.
