Abstract
The stability of nptII gene expression was assessed in transgenic tobacco p lants with multiple T-DNA insertions. The plants were obtained by self-poll ination in the first (T1) and second (T2) generations and also in F-1 from crossing T1 plants. The multiple copies showed stable Mendelian inheritance .
