Abstract
Aromatic alpha-hydroxyiminoacetonitriles can be conveniently prepared by a facile one-pot procedure in high yields involving chlorination of the corre sponding aldoximes with tert-butyl hypochlorite followed by reaction with a lkali cyanide.
