Abstract
Two contiguous pairs of enantiomeric 2'-deoxy-1-ribonucleotides have been i ncorporated in a 5-methyl-CG alternating decadeoxyribonucleotide duplex. Da ta from circular dichroism and UV melting experiments indicate that the two base-pair long enantio-domain within the duplex was able to stabilize a Z- DNA-like conformation.
