B. Clapham et Aj. Sutherland, Use of a scintillant-containing macroporous resin in both solid phase synthesis and subsequent on-bead scintillation-based analysis, TETRAHEDR L, 41(13), 2000, pp. 2257-2260
A chemically-functionalised scintillant-containing macroporous resin has be
en used successfully in a two stage solid phase organic synthesis. The seco
nd step in this synthesis involved the covalent attachment of a tritiated a
cetate group to the resin. The resultant radiolabelled scintillant-containi
ng resin beads scintillate spontaneously and with high efficiency due to th
e dose proximity of the tritium atoms to the scintillant molecules within t
he beads. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
