Abstract
The single-crystal X-ray structure determinations of the title complexes, c is-dichloro-trans-dimethyl-cis-bis(N-methylpyrrolidin-2-one-O)tin(IV), [Sn( CH3)2Cl(2)(C5H9NO)(2)]. Cis-di-bromo-trans-dimethyl-cis-bis(N-methylpyrroli din-2-one-O) rin(IV). [SnBr2(CH3)(2)(C5H9NO)(2)], and cis-diiodo-transdimet hyl-cis-bis(N-methylpyrrolidin-2-one-O) [Sn(CH3)(2)I-2(C5H9NO)(2)], show th at those tin complexes in which coordination of the lactam ligand to Sn-IV is realized I in oxygen exhibit a distorted octahedral geometry.
