Abstract
Dofetilide may be advantageous in terminating atrial fibrillation/atrial fl utter (AFl) when there are contraindications for class I drugs (left ventri cular dysfunction and/or manifest myocardial ischemia) and beta blockers. I n particular, its successful outcome in usually drug-resistant AFl is promi sing and underscores the importance of selective class III action for termi nating AFl.
