Abstract
An optimal combination of anti-asthmatic drugs and delivery devices produce s the best short- and longterm control in asthmatic children. Various inhal ation devices can be used: nebulizer, metered dose inhaler with or without spacer devices, dry powder inhaler. Their use will depend on age, asthma se verity acute or long-term treatment and the child's preference. Explanation and control of inhalation techniques are essential for a good compliance.
