The progress of nucleic acid molecular "Light Switch" and DNA was reviewed
in this paper, which is obtained with ultraviolet absorption spectrum, fluo
remetry, NMR, T-m and linear dicroism(LD), etc. The mechanism of fluorescen
ce enhancement of molecular "Light Switch" by DNA and the charge transfer r
eaction between Ru( II ) and Rh( II ) are reported. It also describes the a
pplication of nucleic acid molecular "Light Switch" in sequence analysis, q
uantitative analysis of DNA, determination of c(cm) and detection of solven
t polarity. The possible development of the nucleic acid molecular "Light S
witch" is addressed.
