Abstract
A serially concatenated space-rime code (SCSTC) that enables efficient high
-speed transmission in a band-limited channel is proposed. The performance
of the proposed system is compared with that of conventional bandwith-effic
ient trellis coded modulation schemes, such as serially concatenated trelli
s coded modulation (SCTCM) and turbo trellis coded modulation (turbo-TCM),
and a significant performance improvement is shown.
