Abstract
A new equation for sessile droplet volume is obtained using approximat e integration of the capillary equation, The level of error is not mor e than 3% for both medium and large droplets. In contrast to the accur ate equation it does not contain such variables as droplet height and peak radius of curvature, and it may be used for quite rapid calculati on of initial specimen weight.
