Abstract
The pentanuclear mixed-metal cluster [Co4MoCp(mu(3)-SBut) (mu(3)-S)(mu(3)-C O)(mu-CO)(2)(CO)(6)] (1) has been synthesised by reaction of [CoMoCp(CO)(7) ] with (BuSSBut)-S-t. X-ray structural analysis identified an asymmetric un it with three cobalt atoms and one molybdenum forming an irregular tetrahed ron while one cobalt-molybdenum edge is bridged by a cobalt atom.
