This paper deals with the improvement experimental evaluation of bilinear m
odel predictive control applied to the pH neutralization process. A bilinea
r model for the pH neutralization process is developed, and a one-step-ahea
d predictive control law based on the bilinear model is designed without in
clusion of an offset compensator. The performance of the proposed control s
ystem was studied both numerically and experimentally. The good control per
formance obtained verifies the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive bilin
ear model predictive control method in the control of nonlinear chemical pr
ocesses.
