Abstract
An adaptive algorithm for detecting the weak signal in the gravitational wa ve experiment is developed. The algorithm is based on the approximation of an unknown probability density of the squared output signal of a cryogenic gravitational antenna by a system of Pearson curves. Additional astrophysic al information is used for the preliminary estimation of the unknown instan ts of the appearance of individual gravitational pulses (GPs).
