The law of dispersion of magnetostatic waves (MSWs) in the tangentially mag
netized ferrite plate (FP) with the uniaxial anisotropy, whose axis is perp
endicular to its plane, is obtained and analyzed in the case when the appli
ed constant magnetic field is less than the uniaxial anisotropy field. It i
s shown that this model qualitatively describes the MSW dispersion in hexa-
and ortho-ferrites and also in a nonsaturated FP.
