Intelligent system for the designing of microband filters

The FILTEX intelligent system (filter expert) for the designing of microban d pass-band filters is presented in the paper. The FILTEX system is constru cted as an integrated system that includes expert components. This allows o ne to automatize the creative elements of the process of designing. The tim e of optimization of the parameters of the designed device is essentially r educed due to the presence of an automatically enlarged bank of earlier obt ained best solutions. The FILTEX system is open for knowledge acquisition a nd renewal and for the inclusion of new structures.
