Abstract
The problems arising in developing optoelectronic systems for monitoring sh ifts (displacements) of large-sized industrial and transportation objects o r their elements are described. Ways to solve these problems are demonstrat ed in examples of optoelectronic instruments and systems that have been dev eloped. The prospects for further investigations are discussed.
