Abstract
The binding energies, single-particle energy spectra and quadrupole deforma tion parameters for the superheavy elements, starting from Fm-257 to (313)1 28, are calculated by using an axially deformed relativistic mean-field for malism. Particular attention is given here to the investigation of the sphe rical magic structures. As a further test of the predicted binding energies , the Q(alpha)-values are also calculated and compared with other theoretic al predictions.
