Abstract
Wistar-Kyoto rats are the original normotensive strain of the spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR). Fifty male Wistar-Kyoto rats were fed 15 g/day of pelleted food containing mercuric chloride (HgCl2) at dose levels of 0, 1, 3, 10, or 30 mu g/g over a period of 21 weeks. No dose-related difference i n blood pressure was observed in normotensive rats of the Wistar-Kyoto stra in fed mercuric chloride. J. Trace Elem. Exp. Med. 13:239-247, 2000. (C) 20 00 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
