Abstract
Optical networks and HDTV and SDTV switchers are key facilities for digital broadcast systems. These facilities are realized by use of optical transmi ssion technology, HDTV/SDTV multi-format technology and high-speed signal p rocessing technology. This paper describes the important technology and the developed systems for the coming digital broadcasting age.
