Abstract
High-power lamp pumped YAG lasers of 10kW average output power with good be am quality have been developed by using MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Ampli fier) arrangement with multi-pump cavities for oscillator and amplifiers. N d:YAG laser system with 14-rod cavities, which can generate world-highest o utput power of 10kW or more as a solid state laser, have been developed for thick plate processing with 137mm mrad (M(2)similar to 101) beam parameter product. This laser system has achieved transmission to 9kW or more for ph i 800 mu m/NA0.2 fiber.
