Abstract
While the solid state photochemistry of crystals has been assumed to procee d to some critical point beyond which the crystal is destroyed, it has now been found that crystal lattice photochemistry often occurs in stages or re gimes. In each regime different chemistry generally results. The reaction i n different stages may be followed kinetically.
