Abstract
Clostridial infection of a liver transplant is reported and was treate d successfully with immediate retransplantation and antibiotics. This strategy may salvage patients who otherwise have a fulminant course an d certain death. This case supports the general principle that infecti on localized to the liver can be successfully treated with retransplan tation when appropriate.
