Abstract
We investigate a coupled logistic lattice system with complete unidirection al coupling. A new type of spatial-temporal intermittency, we term it trave lling chaos wave, appears when the coupling strength is in a suitable range , and the annihilation of two chaos waves is observed. The chaotic motion i n the spatial-temporal intermittency is 'logistic' in term of first-return maps and first-order variability diagrams [1]. The driver of the lattices ( the first element) is investigated particularly. Its logistic parameter is important for the chaos wave to propagate. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. A ll rights reserved.
