Partial enthalpies of mixing of aluminum in Ge - Fe - Al alloys along vario
us radial sections in the ternary system with constant Ge-X/Fe-X ratio were
determined with the aid of a high-temperature isoperibolic calorimeter. In
tegral heats of mixing were calculated from the pal-tial heats for aluminum
using Dat-ken method. It was determined that alloy formation in the ternar
y system is accompanied by small exothermic heat effects. Component interac
tions in the binary Ge - Fe and Fe - Al systems have a marked effect on the
thermodynamics of alloy formation in the ternary system.
