Abstract
A new ball impact apparatus has been developed for measuring the friction c oefficients of solidified lubricants under very high pressures. Results obt ained for Santotrac 50 showed a decrease in friction coefficient with incre asing mean contact pressure and showed good consistency with values reporte d elsewhere from several different forms of apparatus.
