Abstract
This essay responds to J. Jeffrey Tillman's article, "The Fractured Mind of Partisan Church-Related Higher Education," by asking whether this "fractur ed mind" causes problems only for partisan church-related institutions. The place of religion seems important in all of society. Dialogue - similar to that between science and religion - is necessary to recognize that both ac ademic and traditional religious epistemologies, as described by Tillman, c an be affected by intellectual revolution.
