E.M.F. of galvanic cell (-)W\Zn,ZnO\ZrO2(+Y2O3)\Zn-Bi,ZnO\W(+) was mea
sured to determine the activity of zinc in the whole composition range
at 750-950K for liquid Zn-Bi alloys. The activity of zinc in the allo
ys shows large positive deviations from Raoult's law. From the activit
y data the concentration fluctuations at long wave length limit Scc(0)
are calculated and compared with the model calculation for demixing l
iquid binary alloy. The miscibility gap are derived from E vs T plot.
