Abstract
In this paper, first, we discuss the relation between the entropy rate admi ssibility criterion and the entropy condition for a phase transition proble m. In the context of the Riemann problem, we consider the compatibility of the above admissibility criteria. Then, combining the two criteria, we stud y the Riemann problems. We discuss the cases where the initial strains are given in the different phases and where they are given in the same phase.
