Abstract
Frigate is a cationic adjuvant registered in the Federal Biological Researc h Center for Agriculture and Forestry (BBA) list of additives for the impro vement of the uptake of foliar applied herbicides. The addition of Frigate improves the efficacy of herbicide tank mixtures. T he quick absorption of the active ingredient improves the rainfastness. Frigate contains 822 g/l ethoxylated tallow amines. The application rate is 0.25 l per 100 l spray solution, but maximum 0.5 l/ha. The addition of Frigate to foliar applied herbicides and herbicide combinat ions tested in different crops improved the selectivity of herbicides to cr ops and their efficacy on numerous broadleaved weeds tested as well as on E lymus repens and Alopecurus myosuroides.
