Abstract
Recent electron-impact excitation rates for the C-like ions Ti XVII, C r XIX and Ni XXIII are used to derive electron density sensitive emiss ion line ratios applicable to the ultraviolet spectra of tokamak plasm as. A comparison of these with ratios measured from the Princeton Larg e Torus (PLT) tokamak reveals good agreement between theory and observ ation. These results confirm the validity of the atomic data adopted i n the line ratio calculations.
